Founded in 2015, Supplement Needs has led the way in providing a new model for supplement brands - built on radical transparency, an absolute steadfast commitment to quality, and an intellectual rigour that challenges industry orthodoxies.

Radical transparency

What are you really putting in your body? It’s a question that every consumer should ask themselves.

But, in many cases, supplement brands make it hard to truly answer that question. 

With obscure labels, little to no detail on ingredient mix, minimal visibility on individual ingredient dosage, and little-to-no information on the provenance of ingredients - truly understanding the contents of some supplements can be a minefield. 

It shouldn’t be. 

At Supplement Needs we adhere to a policy of radical transparency. We are clear about the formulation of our products, so you can consume with confidence. 

Our commitment to radical transparency means that: 

• Every single ingredient is listed on our products.
  
  
• The exact nature of each ingredient is detailed (e.g. we don’t simply say ‘Magnesium’, we provide you with the exact type of Magnesium we have used i.e. Magnesium Taurate).
  
  
• Our labels provide the exact dose of every ingredient.
  
  
• We detail the provenance of each ingredient e.g. if it’s a plant-based ingredient, we not only provide you with the binomial name of the plant, but which parts of the plant have been included.

• Where we use non-generic, patented ingredients, we provide the exact brand name - allowing you to conduct your own research into the ingredient.

Backed by science

There's a phrase that you can use that’ll make the owners of some supplement brands flinch and turn pale. That phrase? 

White label…

The truth is, many supplement companies aren’t really supplement companies. That sounds counterintuitive, but bear with us. 

The reality is, many supplement companies are just branding companies. They order their supplements pre-made from white label manufacturers and just whack their own label on. 

There’s little-to-no science behind these brands - but plenty of marketing bluster. 

So, if they don’t really know what’s in their supplements, how can you trust them?

Supplement Needs is different. Each and every one of our products has been researched, designed and formulated by Dr. Dean St Mart PhD.

Dr Dean is a renowned product formulator and holds a double first class honours degree in chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry from the National University of Maynooth (where he finished top of the university) He also holds a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry and fluorescence spectroscopy. 

When you buy a product from Supplement Needs, you’re buying a supplement that has had years of research and expertise poured into it.

A relentless commitment to quality

Supplements aren’t fungible. One multivitamin brand isn’t the same as another. If you understand the science, then you’ll understand that there can be some big differences between seemingly similar brands and products. 

At Supplement Needs, we understand exactly that. 

Which is what drives our relentless commitment to quality ingredients and manufacturing. 

This commitment means that we: 

• Always use the premium forms of ingredients. Take a mineral like Magnesium, for example. We could use a cheap form of Magnesium like Magnesium Oxide. That would make the profit margin on our Multivitamin & Mineral PRO+ bigger - but, that type of Magnesium isn’t particularly well-absorbed by the body. Instead, we use the most bioavailable - but more expensive - form of Magnesium, Magnesium Citrate - because it’s the right thing to do for you, the consumer. This principle applies across all of our products.
  
  
• Where a non-generic, patented form of an ingredient is available, we use it. This means our products include thoroughly-researched ingredients that often have a robust evidence base. Again, this is more expensive, but we do it because it’s the right thing to do for you, the consumer.
  
  
• We manufacture all of our supplements right here in the UK. We ensure that every product is manufactured in-line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 22000:2018 - an international quality standard that ensures products are manufactured in the safest possible way. We could manufacture our products overseas where standards aren’t as high and costs are lower. But, we do things the right way, because it's the right thing to do for you, the consumer.
  
  
• Our supplements are Halal Trust certified, as we want our market-leading products to be enjoyed by everybody. We could have eschewed the cost of doing this, but we didn’t - because it’s the right thing to do for you, the consumer.
  
  
• In recent years, we noted that the needs of women and vegans were insufficiently served by the supplements industry. So, we set about to change that - expending considerable time and money to create our dedicated Vegan and Female ranges. We did that, because it’s the right thing to do.

There are few, if any, other supplement brands that have our unrelenting commitment to quality.
