The GPL-MycoTOX test screens for eleven mycotoxins and forty species of mould from a single urine sample, helping to identify mycotoxin exposure linked to chronic diseases such as fever, pneumonia-like symptoms, heart disease, rheumatic disease, asthma, sinusitis, cancer, memory loss, vision loss, chronic fatigue, skin rashes, depression, ADHD, anxiety, and liver damage.
This test, combined with the Great Plains Organic Acid Test, assesses 76 urinary metabolites to provide a comprehensive snapshot of a patient's overall health and uncover underlying causes for chronic illness. It includes biomarkers for intestinal microbial overgrowth, glycolytic cycle metabolites, mitochondrial markers (Krebs cycle), neurotransmitter metabolites, folate metabolism, ketone and fatty acid oxidation, nutritional markers, detoxification indicators, and amino acid metabolites.
Organic acids, which are products of metabolism, are excreted in urine and offer a more sensitive and accurate measure of metabolic imbalances than blood or serum tests.
